Vasculitis
Vasculitis represents a large group of quite rare conditions, including large vessel vasculitis (GCA, Takayasu), medium vessel vasculitis (Polyarteritis nodosa) and small vessel vasculitis (Granulomatosis with polyangiitis, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis, ANCA vasculitis).
Causes of Vasculitis
While the causes of these forms of vasculitis are poorly known, the effects are of inflammation to the blood vessels, which can lead to pain, blood vessel damage, and damage to the organ being supplied.
Are you experiencing any of the above symptoms?

Diagnosis of Vasculitis
The diagnosis if Vasculitis is often complex, involving a combination of symptoms, blood tests and generally a biopsy of an affected organ to confirm the disease
Treatment Options for Vasculitis
The treatment varies depending on the intensity and type of vasculitis, but generally involves a combination of corticosteroids, with a fairly intense and lengthy course of immunosuppressant therapy.
